It "ticktocks" 3.5 times/second (very quiet), so evidently it is the later 2500c with 25200 alternations per hour. It is extremely stable, and by alternately placing it winder-down and winder-up each night it has kept time to within a couple of seconds in several weeks. No doubt it is a superb piece of engineering design and manufacture. I've never owned a Rolex, or any other luxury watch, but now I'm convinced the Omega 2500 is probably the finest movement around. But what attracted me to the Omega DeVille is its beautiful design. The chunky Rolices (plural of Rolex?) are not my style especially as I'm a little guy. Quite honestly I think they are ugly!
This is a great forum thanks to all you guys.
Best regards,
Grandtiger
