The 2254.50 is now discontinued, I believe, which is a shame. I have one, and it's my favourite. You may find it still in stock at some ADs.

The obvious differences with the 2280 are that the latter has the skeleton hands, and the co-axial movement, which Omega is pushing across the range.

I wouldn't say that one was better than the other, so it's mostly down to your personal preference.
