Steve Waddington (whose website you reference) is very seldom incorrect and if he has researched it, I believe him (Steve is a moderator here on hiatus.

The Omega Vintage Database (available free of charge at http://www.omega.ch/cu_vintage/main.php) shows the following, which includes much of the information you are requesting. You can find this watch by searching for "Speedmaster" and calibre "1140/1143" and it will be one of 4 choices. This includes the photo clearing showing the CART marking. CHF is the symbol for Swiss francs.
