: Hi.
: I have a vintage Speedmaster Day/Date model (possibly referred to
: as Mark 4.5) and would like recommendation on where to send/take
: for service. I live in Orange county, California.
: I was also wondering what I might expect to pay to fix the watch.
: This is what is wrong: The watch seems to have a loose minute or
: hour hand because they do not line up on at 12 o'clock. The
: day/date doesn't work 100% (can be adjusted by hand with some
: finesse) won't turn over completely at midnight. Chrono buttons
: are also sticky and their seals need to be replaced (let in some
: ammonia when I cleaned the outside of the buttons). I expect a
: cleaning and adjustment is in order.
: BTW the watch is cosmetically in excellent original condition ...
: only the movement needs TLC.
: Thanks for any recommendations and insight.
: Neil
