BTW....forgot to mention that Rolex DID have a model that had an extra section in their movement. It was specifically set up to allow precision adjustment to the date switchover at exactly midnight. It never caught on, (extra purchase AND servicing cost!)... as i suspect the fact that it just isn't THAT important to most of us. In this case....."close" is good enough.

: Aw.....come on! Any quality watch (even Rolex)
: allows for a small window for this function!
: Your's is actually very good. My 11 year old
: two-tone Speedmaster was just purchased off
: ebay and functions flawslessly after what i
: was told was a recent overhaul by Omega. The
: case and overall watch looked
: beautiful.....like new in fact! The watch
: keeps time to within 3-5 seconds a day fast
: according to the atomic clock.

: But......MY date changover occurs at between
: 9:30-10:00 PM! Not having owned this model
: before i'm sure it could be adjusted much
: closer than that....as it is more in getting
: the hands matched to the changover point
: more than anything else. But until i need
: something else serviced with this
: watch.....i can live with it. So can you!
