Let me clarify my earlier post: I am in NO way condemning all gray market dealers. There are good as well as bad just like everything else. If you want to spend the time in research, and take the chance,(and you do take a chance..)then that's great. I have enough to worry about in other areas of life. I didn't want to have to "roll the dice" on the purchase of a new Omega. So, I took the easy way out, and went "authorized". That's me. I am now beginning to get into vintage. So, now I will find myself dealing with the grey and used market. The whole point is, have a good time, enjoy your watches and your purchases. Do that in anyway that works for you. However, why take a chance (especially if this is your very first new Omega..)to be ripped off, and have to learn a lesson; maybe an expensive one at that.
