Re: My apologies.
In Response To: My apologies. ()

: I apologize for overreacting to the all caps
: guy in the forum.

Apology accepted.

: however,honestly i do sense impatience or
: frustration in the overtone when you respond
: to people that ask the same questions.
: Anyway ,maybe I'm just being oversensitive.

Certainly the original poster's explosive response made me out to be the devil incarnate. Maybe he was having a bad day or his disability is a highly touchy issue for him. Possibly you reading his overly dramatic reaction led you to jump to the same conclusion without questioning his interpretation of the facts.

But don't let your imagination cause you to read undertones, overtones or anything else into postings here. This is entirely written communications, which lacks the subtleties of non-verbal communications or tone-of-voice that are inherent in face-to-face or voice communications. If there is nothing specifically mean or nasty in the wording, then one of the worst things you can do is assume the writer *meant* it with a nasty intent. The other worst thing you can do is get so emotionally wound up that you lash out vehemently and publicly berate someone.

As the editor and moderator of this forum, it is my job to help newbies learn the ropes and address when people infringe the guidelines of politeness and Internet ettiquite. If you have a concern with anything you see me do or say, please contact me *privately* by email to discuss the matter instead of making a public spectacle of it.
