Re: Sizes?
In Response To: Sizes? ()

: Full size from 39 to 41 mm and the mid size
: from 35 to 37 mm.

There are different ways to measure a watch to achieve standardization and comparability in the measurements acrross diverse shapes and styles of watches.

The lower numbers you see (35 mid, 39 full) are Omega's official measurements which are done across the BACK of the watch. The larger numbers are where people have measured the watches using the more common method of measuring across the bezel.

The reason Omega measures across the back is that the bezel can cause the size to be bigger--as you see in those mumbers--making two watches with the *exact* same case to appear different sizes. For example, the Seamaster 120 and the mid-size SMP use the exact same case but with a different bezel. So the mid-size SMP is not bigger than the Seamaster 120, but measuring across the face of the watch would have you believe it was.
