thewatchguide.nl sounds fishy to me...

If you read their FAQ, they wait until you order a watch, then contact dealers around the world to find one where they can get it the cheapest (presumably based on differences in regional pricing, favorable currency exchange rates and areas where dealers may be having trouble selling their stock). Then have the watch shipped to you.

So who knows what country your watch may come from. This is very fishy dealing based on brokering products outside of the countries that they were intended for sale in.

And don't be so sure that the International warranty you supposedly get with these watches will be honored without question. An Omega International Warranty Card that is correctly stamped by any Authorized Omega Dealer in the world is good for warranty service. *BUT* if there are any errors or concerns, you will not have a receipt from the dealer proving you bought the watch at that authorized dealer. So you may still have difficulty getting warranty service. Especially if Omega catches on to this operation and starts requiring further proof of purchase for warranty work on watches that they see are being serviced in countries drastically different from where the factory originally shipped the watch.

So I would be VERY cautious about buying from an operation like this.
