: inscription, if any.
That model was introduced in 1998. It was on the 50 year anniversary of the "Seamaster" series, which came out in 1948. So Omega added that little inscription for a little extra interest value. Right around that time, they were doing several other things to celebrate both that and the 150 year anniversary of Omega itself.
