This is their "flagship" model. Probably the best selling line (at least ladies models) and certainly the one with the most different combinations of materials, sizes, dial colors, etc.

I would bet that your friend was mistaken.

There are, however, limited editions of the Constellation and other OMEGA models. For instance, there is a limited edition Constellation that looks the same as others but has omega signs that cover the dial. This is to celebrate the Constellation's birthday/anniversary.Perhaps that was what your friend had heard.
