This is a good question....
In Response To: why red seal? ()

In the past I have assumed that if an OMEGA doesn't have the red seal then it must mean that it had it at one time and that the red seal either:
a) fell off accidentally
b) fell off as it was designed to do when the back is removed from the watch

However, I am now wondering if, in fact, all OMEGAs come with a red seal. My screw back SMP does have a red seal. BUT... my wife's Constellation and my own Speedy Reduced (both of which have pressure fitted backs) do NOT have red seals. Is this because the pressure fitted backs don't have red seals or did both watches have them and they fell off.

THANKS!

STEVE
