Re: Speedmaster 3813.53.00
In Response To: Re: Speedmaster 3813.53.00 ()

Hi!

I am very confident about my watch. I have explained that was very difficult to find it. It was not very popular, fortunately, in Spain. I had very clear ideas and I did not wanted it in white color. Black dial is more... smart.

Well, answering to your question. I have found a lot of differences between 3813.53.00 and
3813.50.01. Both have black dial, but the 50.01 has the same color in the numbers and the three smal hands. I mean, the two small markers, used to chronometer, have the numbers and the hands in silver color, as same as the seconds marker. 53.00 (ours) uses white color, numbers and hand, for the seconds marker. But uses red color to numbers and hands in the markers of chronometer (top and above.

Bezel is silver and in the ours is black.

Our clock has arabic numbers, all except 12, 3, 6 y 9, the one you mention has no any number.

Case is a little smaller. Ours is 41.0 milimetres of diameter, the other is 37.0.

Hands, in my watch, are white (hours and minute) and seem to be thicker than 50.01. The hand of the seconds in the chronometer has, at the end, a shape very similar to an arrow in the 50.01. And it is silver colored. In my watch, the hand of the chronometer used in the seconds is red, and very very sharp.

53.01 is sold with a leather (cow, I think) strap, while 50.01 has alligator one.

Never the less, I am going to try to send you two photos to compar them, ¿ok?

Best regards from Spain!

José
