speedmaster Moon sweeping hand

I love the sweeping hand of a watch especially when it runs across the face of the watch. If I wanted to set the Speedmaster Moon with Chrono on permanently, can you confirm that this will not be harmful to the watch in the long run. Is there anything else I should know about the watch with the Chrono on permanently.
