Re: Ashford.com being sold to Diamond.com

Just info for all. I couldn't resist the 50% markdown & ordered a Speedy Pro last night from Ashford. I called to confirm this morning. The agent told me that:

1) All the current watches they are selling (now) have their serial numbers intact. (This probably won't continue after the sale goes thru & they shut down Huston - my guess, not her words).

2) As far as the warrentee, she indicated that the staff had a meeting & they were told that the Ashford website would continue and that the warrantees (2 years in the case of this Speeedy Pro)would be honored for the full term. (I'm not clear on where the work would be done or how good the 'new' service depot will be, but at least it doesn't look like they they'll leave you high and dry with any watch you pick up during the current clearance).

Still some bargains if you want to go the 'grey' route.
