Note that it is QUARTZ not Auto....

And it was the midsize, not the full... both factors that make the watch significantly less expensive than it's full sized automatic brother.

I bought it while on business in SAN DIEGO. I went on a weekday, afternoon. After some chit chat I asked if they could meet the 35% discount that "I'd heard that some auth. dealers" are able to provide. I mentioned no names in particular as I didn't want to jeapordize anyone. She agreed to 33% off and sent the watch back home to me in Louisiana.

FYI: I visited with a number of different dealers, including several at the Fashion Valley Mall. Most dealers offered 10 to 20% off (standard). I bought mine from the first, and only auth. dealer that I met face to face, who offered 33%off. This shop is located on the second floor. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
