Seamaster Quartz...
What is the general preference of movement of Omega watches?I have a Omega Seamaster Pro 200 which is a quartz model.At the time of purchase I was told that the quartz was the more accurate of the models that were out at that time.But now I see many other Omega owners that are stating that the Automatics are better?Is there a reason why?I have a Rolex Sub tutone which is automatic and although its a brilliant watch it does not keep the time like my seamaster.So I am not as keen on Autos.
While I am here I would also like to add another little bit to this topic..The funniest thing in the world happened to me the other day..I was with a friend who also has a Rolex Sub in SS and I was wearing mine as well..A gentleman off the street walked up to my friend to comment about his watch and to let him know just how much he liked the rolex subs but could never afford one..Then he turned to me and asked if I paid alot for my Rolex , and I told him that it was expensive , and he proceeded to tell me that the watch I was wearing was a fake..My friend just laughed...See I bought my watch from a authorised Rolex dealer in the states and have had rolex service this watch on 2 occasions .But heres the funny thing..Mine is real , my friends is a Swiss ETA copy ,not a true Rolex..
The reason I brought this up is it seems when you own the real watch no one believes it, but when you own a good fake everyone falls for it..I hate the fact that a fake watch can even be made.It drops the resale value of the true watch, and it belittles the owner at same time...I guess I shouldn't let it bother me , but in a way I feel cheated.But at the same time I am happy with what I own..
Anyone else here had the same problem..?
