From what I understand

...he was a little annoyed that he wasn't credited and they all had "So-called" (even in the non-trademarked names) as if the qualifier was required, but was mostly just bemused that the nicknames had propagated so far.

Regarding Antiquorum's odd conventions of quotation mark usage, I think it's either an attempt to designate what's on the dial or the official model name, or else just an artifact of not-so-excellent translation; wouldn't read into it too much.
