Looking to trade an early Heuer 844 Monnin case # 4054
I haven’t been able to figure out how to post photos - please see my WUS post linked at the bottom for photos.
This is one of the earliest production with all the correct early markings:
— cathedral hands
— lower case professionel font
— bezel has no inner silver border and no dot insert at 12
— location of seconds hand pip
— no “Made in France” in the dial
Trading because I have two, one was inherited from my uncle (later transitional model, cathedral hands but made in France, later “professionel” font, and later bezel). I’m trading the early model on the left shown below - better condition, earlier revision, but I find I never wear it in favor of my uncle’s watch.
It was serviced by the previous owner and runs well. The dial is in very good condition, with some minor yellowing of the lume and a small spec out of the seconds hand. The bezel is remarkably clean for the age of the watch - very few scratches compared to most that I’ve seen. Case is in nice vintage unpolished condition, the 844 imprint on the back is very clean. I don’t know if the bracelet is original, but it does appear to match vintage Heuer pieces (maybe 844-3 rather than 844-1?)
Ideally looking to combine with my Ball watches to trade up to for a single watch, but would also be interested in straight across trades. It’s been a bit hard to price but from comparable listings on Chrono24 and eBay it looks like they are listed at $5-7K
