I am offering for sale this beautifully preserved vintage watch from Swiss brand Technos, featuring an outstanding Constellation style dial, its original bracelet and original box – the perfect find for the ambitious vintage collector and fan of complete sets in pristine condition.
I am offering for sale this vintage watch made by Swiss brand Technos, from the rare Vendome model range, which is in practically perfect condition (and presumably unworn). It features an exceptional, organically styled dial, a faceted crystal and the original stainless steel bracelet, making it the ideal choice for vintage collectors seeking something off the beaten track and demanding pristine condition.
Technos Vendomes, which are thought to date from the 1970s, are well-known for their extravagant organic dials; in addition to this version, there is e.g. another model that displays the time on a green-cabbage-like dial.
Details:
► Intricately crafted tonneau-shaped all stainless steel case with a polished bezel part, brushed case front, and polished sides and bevels, in its original condition, having clearly been worn very little or even not at all (all sharp and undamaged edges, with only the slightest superficial signs of long-term storage)
► Exceptional dial (textured, with a greenish marbled effect), designed to evoke the appearance of natural organic material (to some, it might rather resemble the contents of a Petri dish left forgotten in an incubator 😉) with applied hour markers and logos; no luminescent material (which makes it less susceptible to age-related damage in the long term)
► Original set of hands (also without lume)
► Non-screwed crown with manufacturer's logo
► Case back with clearly legible engravings and the central Technos emblem – which is often missing on other examples – still covered with protective film
► Flawless facetted mineral crystal (it actually features five vertically interrupted facets, although this is quite difficult to capture in the photographs)
► Robust, high-beat (28,800 bph) Swiss ETA 2824 automatic movement (in its premium version with 25 jewels and eccentric fine-adjustment) with date display and hacking second function; the movement starts and runs smoothly and keeps time with a deviation of approx. 10 seconds per day (measured laid down, service history unknown); the date mechanism and quick date adjustment also work flawlessly
► Elegant original stainless steel bracelet, which creates a wonderful play of light on the wrist thanks to the interplay of polished and brushed surfaces and a polished bevel; also suitable for larger wrists up to approx. 20 cm
► Comes with a practical black travel case made of Saffiano leather
► Externally cleaned, from a non-smoking household and ready to wear
Dimensions:
► Diameter: approx. 33mm without and 35mm including the crown
► Lug-to-lug: approx. 43mm, thus, the watch does certainly not look tiny on the wrist
► Height: approx. 11mm
► Lug width: 17mm
Price:
I am asking EUR 320,- plus international insured shipping according to destination.
And now for the pictures:
The watch is located in Austria (EU) and so am I. I do have plenty of international references from various watch enthusiasts (also known here), so please feel free to ask for them.
Just for the records: I am a private collector and, therefore, the watch comes without any personal guarantee given by me. Nevertheless, I am offering to give a full refund less fully insured shipping expenses in case the piece sold would not be as described by me (within an inspection period of three days and to buyers from within the EU only due to the complex customs procedure in case of an overseas deal).
Thanks for reading and thanks to the Chronotrader platform and its host!
Kind regards,
F.Antl
