Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Many 1960s/70s vintage dive watches share the same case as the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf shown with 19mm lugs. These are some of the most difficult watches to strap because of the large watch head paired with the 19mm band configuration. Same case you will see on Jaeger-Lecoultre Memovox and Gruen dive watches from the same time period. Most bands look to skinny. Here is an excellent stainless steel heavy and wide band with a taper that works perfectly with that case.
A satin finish steel 19mm wide straight ends New Old Stock vintage watch bracelet from the 1960s/70s. Available in all steel or with black inserts, which match up with black dials really well. Check the specs here to make sure this will work with your watch. The end tubes are 19mm wide but the last link is 23.3mm wide. From the last wide link to the center of the spring bar tube there is 2mm of space, so make sure the wide ends will have enough clearance with your watch lugs. As you can see, it fits perfectly on the Zodiac Super Wolf (watch is for sale from another dealer; inquire if you are interested).
Even better, these bands will fit even large wrists. Fully extended in its length, the bracelet is 6 3/4 inches (17.3cm) long lying flat. Then it easily adjusts 5/8 of an inch shorter in small increments with the adjustments in the clasp. Plus links can easily be removed to make it even shorter. I also have a Short version of this band.
Fantastic folded stainless steel links with a brushed matte finish. Clasp is signed 100% Stainless Hong Kong on back. The links are 3.0mm thick. Heavier weight band weighs 61 grams. Might fit your Jaeger Lecoultre Memovox from the 1970s or a Seiko dive watch or Gruen dive watch that has the same case as the Zodiac shown.
