Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. Without seeming like I'm dumping on your ad, the guru in question was the seller of the watch - hence not entirely independent. I saw the ad on eBay a few months back and personally I wasn't convinced.
: Hello,
: I'm selling a Vintage 1960's GALLET MultiChron 12H Black Gilt Dial
: Valjoux 72 Chronograph reference 5193 with Extremely Rare
: "Compass" Hands in amazing condition.
: Please note, this is not your run-of-the-mill MultiChron 12H and is
: an exceedingly rare version of the 12H that doesn't pop up
: often.
: Thanks to some research from a reputable Gallet guru, it turns out
: there were 3 versions of this MultiChron 12H watch that Gallet
: produced during the 60's and 70's. The most commonly seen
: "baton" hands were used and produced for sports,
: racing and general production use. The second type were
: "broad arrow" hands very similar to those found on the
: original 2915 Omega Speedmaster watches. These watches were
: intended for aviation purposes. Finally third, and most rare,
: are these "compass" hands which were only produced via
: special order on the 12H, and were intended for medical and
: geological study. The exact number of these pieces produced
: during the 60's is unknown, but it has been confirmed they were
: not part of the original production series, and they are hardly
: ever seen.
: Model: MultiChron 12H "Waterproof", reference 5193
: Condition: The watch is in great overall condition and is
: completely original . Absolutely no refinishing has been done on
: This piece. The watch does still have the original lume, however
: it does show its age. The case appears to have been polished
: throughout its life, but it is honest. This watch runs
: beautifully, keeps excellent time, and was just recently
: serviced less than 6 months ago. This is a truly special watch
: and one that belongs in the hands of a true Gallet or vintage
: collector.
: Movement: Valjoux 72
: Come with the following: Brown Genuine Leather Strap
: Price: $3500 obo. I am open to offers on it, but please be
: reasonable, this is a very rare piece.

: Price is NET to me via PayPal, including shipping.
