Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

FS: Vintage Heuer 982.112 PVD Diver; Original Papers; $495 OBO

I am the original owner of this vintage Heuer watch which I bought at Kirkfreeport, Grand Cayman, in August, 1985. http://www.kirkfreeport.net/watches.php I used it for diving during that vacation. Thereafter, I wore it exclusively and infrequently as a dress watch for about 10 years. I wore it only on a few occasions during the past 15 years. I always had the battery replaced when needed. Last week I had a new battery installed by a professional watch maker. He also pressure tested the watch to 5 bars (50 meters – 165 feet) - see the picture. Recreational sport divers don't dive deeper than 50 meters so he didn't think it was necessary to subject the watch to greater pressure.

Movement: per the professional inspection performed last week, the original Heuer quartz movement is in like-new, factory condition. The watch never flooded. I took the picture of the movement and cover last week when I had the battery replaced.

Crystal: there's one small scratch visible with the naked eye near the 3 o'clock marker and another smaller one (hardly visible) near the 4 o'clock marker. The crystal is original.

Bezel: the bezel is original and is in excellent condition! No scratches, dings, chips, etc. are visible. It rotates counter-clockwise smoothly but firmly to each minute marker, making a distinct click at each minute. It will not rotate clockwise, as designed.

Case: the top of the case is in excellent condition. There is very slight wear along the entire bottom edge of the case where the PVD coating has worn off on the edge. This wear is not, of course, visible when wearing the watch.

Crown: the screw-in crown, including the separate date and time setting functions, works perfectly.

Bracelet: the top and edges of the bracelet show very slight wear. The back side of the bracelet shows light wear. The buckle also shows light wear and a few minor scratches. The buckle works perfectly, including the wet suit extension link. I have two extra original links (never used), which are also included. They are not shown in the pictures.

All documents (receipt, manual, etc.) shown in the pictures will be included. The Tag Heuer foam-lined box and pillow cushion are obviously not original. I purposely left the original box in Grand Cayman. However, this box and cushion are original Tag Heuer. Several years ago I had the battery changed by Tag Heuer's U.S. Service Center. They returned the watch to me in this box.

U.S. Shipping charge: $15. The watch will be shipped via USPO Priority Mail. The charge includes tracking and insurance in the amount of $500. I will email the tracking number to you.

International Shipping charge to the UK, Europe & Japan: $35.00. The watch will be shipped via USPO International Priority Mail. The charge includes insurance in the amount of $500. Tracking is not available, but I will request a return receipt. All taxes and duties, if any, are the buyer's responsibility. I won't report a value less than the purchase price. I am willing to ship the watch to you using any other shipping method you prefer (FedX, etc.) at cost.

International Shipping charge elsewhere: Please ask.

I have been selling items on Ebay under the name joyy2001 since 2001. I have a 100% perfect Feedback score. I am not, however, intending to list this watch on Ebay, at least for now.
