FS: Rare Vintage 42mm Omega Seamaster 166.066 cal. 565

Hi, I am selling(references available in WUS,SCTF,MWF) this rare and unique Vintage Omega Seamaster Caliber 565 watch with reference number 166.066.This watch is not the common small case type with a 565 movt in it but rather a huge case one. Its made in early 70's and only 2 versions were made with caliber 565 and 1010. Of course cal. 565 was the much sought after and prefered choice. Same caliber as seamaster 300.

Its in running condition and quickset of date works well using the pull+push repeating/pumping method.
Movement is very clean (already satisfying to watch how the movement runs)and it secures firmly even while pulling and pushing the crown.

Diameter of the watch is about 42 mm with crown(crown is hidden so not much differences be it with/without crown diameter). Its using 22mm straps width. Its a thick chunky watch and that's unusual for a Old omega and non diver type of watch.Nice Seamaster logo at backcase with usual hairline scratches. This case has the top surfaces brushed and side surfaces polished,that's correct for this version(166.066). Version 166.092 would have all polished surfaces.

No scratches on crystal as its a recent replacement(non omega and snapped in to fit) and omega crystal is available from a few major UK parts supplier (TN5166 @ 19UKpounds) so availability isnt a problem.

Dial is of a silver textured type and never been refinished, hands are in nice condition and inner ring is also silver and blends well with the brushed surfaces and silver textured dial.

Movement is clean 24 Jewels caliber 565 automatic movement.

This is really a seldom seen thick chuncky Omega watch using the famous 565 caliber movement(same as Seamaster 300). Note that this is a vintage watch and the accuracy falls within my expectations. But its not begin timed.

THIS IS A RARE AUTHENTIC OMEGA CAL 565 WATCH, comes with 2 x free zulu straps and 1 used leather strap as shown in photo below.
