FS: Omega Constellation Megaquartz f2.4Mhz Blue 'Waffle' dial

Hi

For Sale is my lovely & rare (dial condition) Blue 'Waffle' dial Omega Constellation Megaquartz f2.4Mhz:

Probably the most advanced wrist watch ever made the Megaquartz 2.4Mhz (denoting it resonated at 2.4000 000 per second) uses the calibre 1510. This calibre boasted an accuracy of 1 second per month and was astronomically expensive and far more than any other (with the exception of 18 solid gold) watches at the time.

The watch has just been completely refinished (and bracelet rebuilt !) at Omega UK (Swiss Time Services) by the MD (the only person who works on these) at great expense and is unworn since. It comes with the balance of a 12 month warranty for the work and the Omega Extract of the Archives showing this Watch was delivered new to Germany in 1977.

STS also reported the time keeping as being superb and spot on when checked against an atomic clock over 2x 24hr periods.

Condition:

Case: STS complete refinish

Dial: Blue Waffle aged to near black in some light , some minor lacquer cracks but importantly no physical 'crumbling' issues with the dial

Bracelet & clasp: STS complete rebuild & refinish and will fit a large wrist (currently sized to 7.5)

Case back: Superb with clear 4x digit serial number

Hands: Original & Excellent

This Watch also comes with the original (german) instructions , Omega box, Omega Extract of the Archives and STS Invoice....now considering the 'Stardust' version of this watch sells for £2.5 > £3k , I am going to ask for £1350 firm including RMSD (insured for £1500) or International signed for (insured for £500)

Sadly no trades on this one at the moment -

All the best - Neil
