Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

FS: Heuer Pilot Chronograph (Transitional Model)

Offered for sale is a rare transitional model TAG Heuer Pilot Automatic Chronograph from the early eighties in excellent condition. The watch was a Heuer design, and produced during the time when TAG was merging with Heuer. It includes a Heuer signed stainless steel bracelet, with TAG signed dial and caseback.

Setting this watch apart from other examples is the automatic movement (most included the quartz movement), along with a complete set of box, operating instructions (and even these are in the original plastic pouch), and display case. Each of these items are in excellent condition, and make this a unique and complete example of the Pilot Chronograph.

I purchased this watch from Jack a few years ago, and it has been worn sparingly. It was serviced two years ago, and keeps excellent time, all functions work perfectly. The pics tell the story – and these were originally taken by Jack (as mine would never be so good). The watch is in identical condition, and I’ll be pleased to provide a full refund if the watch does not meet the expectations of the buyer, based on the photographs.

I’d prefer this watch find it’s way into the hands of Heuer collectors, so posting here. I have been collecting for more than a decade, and have many references from MWR. Price is $1,950, and I’d prefer a cashiers or personal check on this one, rather than PayPal (due to the fees).

Thanks for looking, and photos are located here:
