We’ve all seen the pictures of that simple, flat black band alternative listed in the original catalog and magazine ads for vintage Heuers. Here’s a rare 21mm size black calfskin vintage band, tapered just right so it takes a 16mm Heuer buckle. Perfect for that Heuer Autavia or Skipper 11063 case with the 21mm lugs.
Band is New Old Stock 1960s/70s. Flat, unpadded type. Thickness is 3.3mm where the band meets the watch and 1.7mm at the tail end. Completely unsigned with tan calfskin liner. Band measures 7 1/2 inches (19cm) placed end to end, without the buckle counted in. Metric measurement of the two pieces is 75/116mm.
Nice vintage 21mm bands are really difficult to find, especially ones with the right shape for Heuer 16mm opening buckles. This band would be a nice change of pace from rally straps for your 21mm Heuer Autavia or Skipper.
