Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. FS: Sinn 143 (Lemania 5100)

For sale is my exceptional condition Sinn 143. I really like this watch, but I rarely wear it. I need to move some pieces out, so this is now boxed up and hopefully I won't regret it later. Hopefully.

The 143 is from the 1980's and is not, as some might think, a military watch. I visited Sinn recently and showed my 143 to Herr Simone, one of the oldest remaining workers there. He happened to start working at Sinn when the 143 came out, so he knows the model well. He noted mine is one of two versions: One has an all-black dial, the other has blue and red portions in the outer chrono band. Herr Simone noted that Sinn was trying out new case designs at that time; he also noted that mine is one of the best examples of a 143 he has seen in years.

The Sinn 143 is unique in having an aluminum case. It is very light. It measures 39mm across (without crown), 44mm lug-to-lug, and 15mm thick.

Inside is the venerable Lemania 5100, here in two-subdial form. The movement has not been serviced but, because it is in near-mint condition, it keeps time extremely well. The previous owner said he had it checked and the amplitude was very strong.

It comes with the original box (missing the inner mount thing), the original crystal, world-timer bezel, and a Sinn rally strap. It is mounted on a regular-length Di-Modell Chronissimo strap.

Price is 2150 € via bank transfer. Price includes shipping within the EU. Contact me for shipping outside the EU or alternate payment methods.
