FS: FS: Rolex Submariner 1680 from 1978

Hi, am letting my vintage submariner go. It's a 1978 Rolex 1680 Submariner, Perpetual Oyster Date.

It's all completely original and in excellent condition. It has aged beautifully and the dial is stunning.

It was serviced in 2010.

It comes with the boxes, booklet, hang-tag and anchor included.

The serial number is 5.4 million, which dates it to 1978.

This 1680 is in great condition, showing light signs of wear only on close inspection.

It is all original, fully functional, and remains in excellent cosmetic condition.

Specifications:

…Made in 1978, it’s one of the newer 1680 examples.
…Flawless original dial and acrylic crystal.
…Excellent condition rotating bezel and black insert.
…Excellent case showing very light wear, mostly just to the lug tips.
…Calibre 1575 Rolex Superlative Chronometer.
…26 Jewels, adjusted to five positions plus temperature.
…Winds and sets smoothly; keeps time accurately.
…Fully serviced in 2010.
…Date with Cyclops magnifier.
…Original folded-steel Oyster bracelet with Fliplock clasp and all links included. Will fit even the largest wrists.
…Water resistant rated to 200m/660ft.
…Includes original inner/outer boxes, manual, hang tag and anchor.

My price for this lovely set is £4200. I can meet F2F in London or ship to the buyer using their preferred method (we can discuss methods, costs, etc).

I have loads of references on watch forums that I'd be happy to share with anyone interested.

Any questions, just let me know.
