FSOT: Fortis B42 Cosmonaut LE500 Titanium 44mm Lemania 5100 *PIC*

I have one of these beauties for sale or for trade.

These watches were produced as a limited edition of 500 in 2004. The watch is in near mint condition. I am not one to easily use the term "mint".

The movement functions as it should and keeps time to a few seconds per day but the chrono will not reset to zero on occasion. To reset it will need to be set going, stopped and reset again. I believe this is not too unusual for watches with this movement but may be a sign that the watch is in need of a service.

The case is in very good condition. You will have to look carefully to find a light surface mark. There are no scratches, rather a few light marks associated with strap changes but nothing severe at all. The caseback is unmarked. The bezel is perfect and the bezel functions as it should. The watch comes with its original rubber strap which was probably worn with the watch a lot as the clasp has many scratches. This strap is too short for my 8 inch wrist. I have been wearing the watch with a buffalo IWC strap of The Watch Boys and will send if off with the watch if the buyer wants it.

The AR coating is still ok with light scratches but I have seen much worse. As it is it does not bother me. The sapphire crystal is unmarked.

There are two boxes (inner and outer) in good condition and a Fortis sleeve with 2 booklets and a red instruction sheet.

I am willing to trade the watch for one of the following: (1) Sinn EZM1 or (2) Movado Super Sub Sea (Zenith Cal 146). The difference in values can be discussed. I am of course willing to pay an additional amount as required.

Reliable shipping from South Africa is quite expensive but I will charge the buyer only £30 or the equivalent in another currency. I will only use the most reliable form of shipping that is available.

I can unfortunately only accept a wire transfer as only one bank in South Africa is allowed by law to channel incoming foreign currency from Paypal to its customers. I am not with that bank.

I am not a frequent buyer but I have done business with 2 prominent members on this forum. I will only do business with a buyer with good references.

The purchase price of the watch is £1900.
