Up for sale to day, this extremely rare copy of the first serie Nautic Ski 1966
The watch is in stunning condition for a timepiece that dates back to the late 60's
This is indeed the first model sold by Lip and will generate the famous line of Nautic ski until his last edition quite recently.
This model is easily recognizable in its 15/30/45 graduated bezel (not ... 10/20/30), his two crowns signed LIP and specific signature "LIP 184003" dated 9/66.
For the record the 1968 Olympic Games have been associated with it and served to promote the launch of the model.
The case is stainless steel type Super Compressor (screw and compression springs for diving). The patents were filed in 1953 by the Company Piquerez Bassecourt located in the Bernese Jura.
Waterproof 200m theoretically. I do not guarantee of course its use in diving ..
The deep black dial is flawless and perfect slice with silver markings while the indexes and hands took a gold tint vintage and participate in the elegance of the whole.
Remarkable: the seconds hand equipped with a rare rectangle, not a circle!
The date (black on white) works like the first day in the same way as the inner ring (medium and soft).
Note the perfect color balance between the index of the ring / dial and hands.
The plexi glass dome-type was replaced with a new original on the occasion of the general review.
The movement is the famous R184: it works beautifully and because the gauge out of a complete overhaul and is guaranteed one year as from 11 February 2016.
The Lip will of course be delivered with its true Tropic Switzerland bracelet, original and consistent with its output model. It is NOS.
The watch will be delivered with the following :
- Control Certificate guaranteed one year by licensed watchmaker Omega Vintage with photos "anthropometric".
