FS: Vintage '85 Heuer 980.006L Jumbo on original bracelet

For sale from my personal collection my trusty Heuer '1000' 200M Quartz Diver. But it's a special one!
This is 980.006 L Jumbo (named after it's 42mm size), the L designates it as a Heuer Jumbo made in the last year before the TAG -takeover. Namely 1985. Heuer didn´t only change the ref. number though.

To quote Stewart from Heuerville;

There seems to be far less of these later L variants around, I’ve only ever seen a handful over the years. This is because this variant had an extremely short shelf life, appearing in 1985, just months before Heuer became TAG Heuer. This also makes this a Heuer that can be accurately dated, something not too common in the Heuer world.
In comparison to the regular 980.006 this one features the '1000' on the dial. The differences between this ‘L’ version and the earlier 980.006 are – thinner case design, the bezel is recessed slightly into the large case, a thinner movement, a elaborate signed caseback, a signed crown and ‘1000’ on the dial. It’s more slender design is very appealing, and really sits nicely on the wrist.

Conditions of sale

I am NOT a professional watch seller and these watches are part of my private collection. Every watch is described to the best of my ablities. The watches are in running condition unless otherwise stated. I consider the pictures part of the description and do not accept refunds. I always recommend a service for vintage watches with no service history and as such i cannot guarantee the timekeeping of these pieces. Please ask any questions beforehand and I will try to answer them. Cheers
