Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. : Up for sale a rare and all original example of an Pie-Pan
: dial Omega Genève Calendar from 1959
, powered by a crisp
: 503 caliber automatic movement.

: This historical piece is circa 1959, belonging to the rare
: high-grade production of the first Omega Genève line. It has a
: beautiful - original and gracefully aged - silver dial with a
: rare pie-pan dial, like the first and present Constellation
: lines, and a pristine automatic Omega full rotor movement, the
: first to offer a date.

: The case, all stainless steel and probably lightly polished
: in the past, features its original angles and bevels, as can be
: seen on the pictures. It bears only very minor scratches and
: shocks. The winding crown is the original, signed with Omega
: logo. Model ref. 2982 6 SC inscribed inside the snap-on case
: back. The diameter of the case is 35 mm without the crown.

: The 100% original silver dial is a rare cross-lines pie-pan
: model with arrowhead markers. It is in good condition
: (conservatively rated 8/10) and evenly aged. It shows some
: spotting and gentle ageing, but IMO nothing that detracts from
: the beauty of this fine watch. The hands are the original
: dauphine hands, correct for this model and showing no signs of
: corrosion after being gently cleaned. The plexi, a replacement,
: is in excellent condition.

: The movement is an in-house 503 Omega calibre (serial no
: 17190XXX), recently cleaned and (remarkably well) timed. It has
: been well taken care of through time and shows no discoloration
: or toolmarks. The watch winds and sets smoothly, its
: non-quickset date (set by turning the hands back and forward
: between 10PM and 3AM) functions as it should. The power reserve
: is within original specs.

: Price: 1200 euros - now 1000 euros, priced to sell, shipping included in the EU.
: International shipping outside the EU at real cost.
: Questions welcome.
