Hi Bernard,

I'll take the watch, if it's still available. I'm in Toronto. I'm out of the office till tomorrow, so if you confirm that it's mine, we can take care of wiring details tomorrow...

Andrew Himel

Hi guys,
: Decided to let another of my pretty rare Seiko's. Just can't keep
: them all.
: This one is the early 1970 blue variant 6139-6000 with
: "proof dial" and non notched case
: To avoid questions, this watch is 100% correct. Seiko stopped
: producing the notched cases somewhere in 1970.
: The early dial used in the first year of production reads
: "Water70mProof" centered on the left side of the dial
: at the 9 o'clock position. These watches also read water proof
: on the case back.
: The "proof" watches were in production until February
: 1970 when Seiko changed the script to
: "Water70mResist".
: So to make a long story short you will find the "proof"
: 6139-6000's in noth cases and in non notch cases.

: This watch is in my opinion 100% original and untouched.
: Dial has all the original lume in very good condition.

: Case looks unpolished retaining all the sharp edges ( often
: you will find these edges softened by a case polish ).
: Of course some scratches and minor nicks but nothing disturbing.
: The case-back looks somewhat rough making me think the watch has
: been worn a lot with a NATO strap.
: All the correct engravings ( also waterproof ) visible on the back.

: Mechanically the watch is working 100% perfect.
: Keeping very good time, good power reserve, chrono working and
: resetting as it should.
: The watch starts running from the moment you pick it up. Really
: impressive these Seiko movements.

: The watch comes with the original bracelet in very good
: condition.
: Seiko logo on the clasp super sharp.
: Also included in this sale are the outer and inner box in
: very good condition.
: It's always nice to have a 1970 watch that still has the original
: box. So a great bonus in my opinion.

: I am pricing this early dial 6139-6000 "William R. Pogue"
: really sharp.
: We all know that prices on these fantastic vintage Seiko's have
: gone up a lot in the past year.
: So I really believe this is a nice opportunity to own one.

: Price: 775 euros ( including a fully insured shipping in the
: EU and overseas )

: Best regards,
: Bernard
