yes, the Montreals seem to be under-appreciated and under-valued in this market.
here are some explanations, with all due respect to those who like these watches:
- case is large
- case is an odd shape, which makes it seem even larger
- case does not sit well on a small wrist
- there are some dodgy dials and hands out there, so maybe people are afraid of fakes
- lots of strong competition, with the Autavias, Carreras, Veronas, Daytonas, and Silverstones . . . did they create "one too many" with the Montreal? were they trying to hard to sell more watches?
I have owned one of these, for a brief while. I kind of liked it, but it looked really silly on my small wrist . . . so it went to a better home. Some years later, I am into the larger watches, but still have not been tempted to try another of these.
