I don't have much information to offer...

heuer model H28 circa 1979 *PIC* Posted By: georges Date: 8/22/07 21:48 GMT

Hi,

I have this Heuer that dates back to circa 1979 according to some information I have been able to gather. I bought it around then so that makes sense. Also according to the same source, the model is H28.

What I can't figure out is why there is so little information on this watch, was it rare, a bad seller, which product line it is from - ie autavia or other- and other type of information.

It is from the line of French Made Chronographs. One of the reasons why they aren't discussed very often is that there isn't a lot of information out there on them. As for why they aren't/weren't popular... Well, They weren't Swiss made [I know you're posting from France, sorry, but items made in Switerland are valued more], they aren't 3-Register chronographs [No Hour Register], the layout isn't compax, it has that unusual faux register around the date window and as a result of all of this the product line has a reputation of being an economy model.

Can anybody help? also if anyone could give an approx. value that would be great..

I don't know if I have been of any assistance, and I fear that my relating the viewpoint I see may be taken the wrong way. As for value, since I don't follow these models, I would only be guessing, but I'd guess they are probably worth somewhere in the $350-600 range. But that is a GUESS.

Thanks,

Georges

Wish I had more, Sorry!
