The thread below discusses the reapplication of the cal 12 and it got me thinking about re-issue Autavias, Monacos, Carreras and a bunch of others like the Speedmaster 1957 re-issue, etc.
I personally flip-flip on a regular basis about the Autavia. I have a Siffert and there are a lot of days that I swear I will get a re-issue to go with it. Then I look at that TagHeuer logo and my interest wanes.
Another phenomenon has occured when I look at the re-issue Autavia. It sometimes drives me to buy a completely different watch for the same money. Used Autavias have been holding in the $1400.00 to $1800.00 price range in the used market and that will buy you a heck of a nice used Speedmaster, maybe even with a display back.
So...Do you own any re-issue watches? Why or why not? If so, what kind?
