Nice one's.
Initially Tag-Heuer told me that 2,000 were produced. I asked if this number included
11.201 & 11.204 but they said it was 2,000 for the 11.202 alone. So there were quite
a few manufactured in total. Its surprising that they don't come up for sale very often.
I've also heard that the Valjoux Cal 9 was not very reliable. My watch runs OK but the split
timer mechanism is missing some parts that I'm searching for now.
Rgds,
Terry
: I have a couple of the Reference 11.204s (shown below) . . . one
: in the red case and one in the black case. The 11.204 and the
: 11.202 have the same cases, movements, hands, etc., but
: different markings on the dial (decimal minutes track on the
: 204, rather than 1/10ths second track on the 202). I have never
: explored the serial number and never heard that only 2,000 were
: produced.
: These are great pieces, and good fun in the display case or on the
: desk (or even at the track).
