I hadn't really noticed it before, until a Vetroplastica post brought it to my attention, as it sits in stopwatches and whilst I appreciate them, I don't pay them anywhere near as much attention as I do the chronographs. But what a nice, well-finished and laid out movement this Valjoux 76R is:
Shame it's as big as it is, it would have made for an interesting chrono. I have to think the modern TAG-Heuer, pursuing the advanced, unusual or just plain different movements, would have worked with Valjoux to shrink this to fit one of the watches and I'd commend them for that.
