Yes, these are really nice - we don't see them often enough in my opinion. When we do see a 3-register 2nd generation Carrera, it tends to be the gold plated 73655 and those don't look as nice as the N in steel for me.
One note on the watch - the features such as the double hour markers and 1-12 numerals on the 12 hour register mean it's a '72 model year watch or later, rather than specifically 71/2. It could be from those years, as the 72 MY watches seem to creep in in late 1971 but it could also be a couple of years afterwards. The serial number would be the clincher of course, but we only have piecemeal records for those.
Whenever it's from, it's really nice anyway!
