Thanks for this vid. I have been in the graphics business all of my adult life. I actually worked for Linotype/Hell and for Heidelberg who bought them out. I don't have room to collect the old Linotype machines but I do have several of the nameplates from different versions which I rescued from old printers before the machines were scrapped. The machines were very watch like...maybe like a musical minute repeating perpetual calendar with astrological functions. Anyway, it has all gone digital now. We even bypass the platemaking process now let alone typesetting.
