: Tim,
: Haven't we been through this before...
: Your orange diver isn't an 844, it's a 980.005 with a replacement
: caseback from an 844, with the steel finish hands from an 844
: (or 980.006 quartz). Or your watch is an 844 with a replacement
: orange dial.. I'm not trying to be disrespectful by calling your
: watch a franken, but stating that the standard factory model
: looks 'sh*t' is a little uncool, given that many diver
: collectors on here have one, or have owned one.
: The black hands is what the orange diver is supposed to have as
: standard.
: Hope this helps explain the differences. Personally, I think a
: correct orange diver looks great, but that's just my opinion.
: Cheers
: Stewart
