I picked up this Tag 2000 auto chrono with the LWO 283 movement that was featured by Stewart in is blog(http://heuerville.wordpress.com/2012/01/07/tag-heuer-172-006-auto-chrono-2000-series/) awhile back. He put it up for sale and I snagged it having kept an eye out for one, especially an auto. It was in good shape overall when I got it from Stewart, (thanks Stewart)except for the case had lost it original finish.
The case should have an overall matte/blasted finish. It had been polished on the top and the side had a brushed finish. So I stripped it down and blasted it, along with the correct bracelet that I had for it. It didn’t have many large nicks to begin with, so only the deepest one or two still show.
I’ve been wearing it for about 2 weeks now and have been really pleased with the results. So what do you guys think?
Side note.
The quartz and auto cases for these don’t swap. The stem position is just slightly different and the quartz cases are threaded.
