Hi Jack,
I have a lot of experience with the Breguet 582 (Lemania 1372) and the evolution from Lemania 1873 to 1340 to 1370 to 1372 is quite obvious when you examine the
chronograph bits in particular. The Lemania 5100 shares no similarity with these other movements as far as I can tell, so it would take a lot of convincing evidence for me to believe otherwise. I suspect the link is simply imagined or misunderstood due to the proximity of the Omega designations (1040 to 1045).
