I'm not normally a bracelet fan.. most of my watches are on leather.. and, like you, I have a love of making straps and appreciating a nice leather band, so maybe I find it just refreshing/different to wear a watch on a bracelet. I can't explain it.. but I love it! You never know.. in a few months, I'll be posting up a photo of it back on leather, saying 'what was I thinking' !! But for now, I'm gonna enjoy the metal :0)
