like so many of us here i'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for some more details on this treasure find pair.

As you can see from my photo below i think i have a very similar set to your new black dialled watch.
I would like to hear a little more about it. Is it Valj.22 or 23 powered ? And how wide is the case ?
I found this page from the 1945 Heuer catalog and there seems to be a close match to your watch with the obvious exception being the hands. http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_Catalogs/1945_Catalog/page04.jpg
