Hand-winding a Cal. 12 - (I've searched the forum already)

I know this sounds absurd, but I do not know which way to wind my Cal. 12. I have scoured the internet, this forum included, and I found scant definitive info on which way to wind the crown. Even the posted Manuals do not offer an indication (or arrow graphic) to show if, when looking at the watch face, you wind toward 12 or wind toward 6. When I wind toward 12, I hear faint, fine clicks and it's very easy to turn the crown. When I gently wind toward 6, it's distinctively clunkier, even feeling bad to turn, so I cease. I wore my watch all day yesterday and it stopped over night - after having picked it up from a watch repairman who overhauled it (25th st., manhattan, tempus fugit).

I'm sure I'll be chalking this all up to my ignorance and inexperience with the movement, but could someone, on the definitive vintage Heuer forum, offer a definitive answer: which way to hand wind the crown when looking at the watch face - toward 12 or toward 6?

I'm slightly shocked this basic info isn't widely available - it's making me feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone a wee bit.

BTW: the watch in question is a 11063V that I got off of ebay several weeks ago, in mint condition, though the watch hadn't been serviced for 30 years, according to the watchmaker scratching on the inside case back.

Many many thanks in advance and pictures to follow!
