Jurgen,
As Marc already mentionned the right timeline is sun - Beta - plain B.
The sun buckles were made, both in stainless steel (acier inox) and gold plated - only in 16 mm
The re-editions were delivered with Beta buckles, both in stainless steel and plain gold - only in 18 mm (in my opinion)
Both buckles exist in poor quality aftermarket reproductions ((stainless) steel with zinc/silver).
The B buckles exist both in 16 and 18 mm. The heuer shield looks quite different from the original buckles.
If you look around on the forum there are a few threats about the buckles.
Best regards,
Gianni
