Dear all,
I've posted the Heuer Summit report on French forum MontresMecaniques last Monday,
you can have a look here : http://montresmecaniques.forumactif.com/t8045-heuer-summit-2013#107133
Clearly, the Summit was amazing, I've been glad to be part of it, after a memorable Tag Heuer visit last year, I realize this is a never ending story.
I'll keep in my memories 3 key points of this GTG :
-a unique opportunity to discover 30s to 50s Heuer through watches but also amazing archives,
-a perfect moment to meet collectors in a friendly atmosphere (along with the nice cognacs and cigars, thanks again buddy)
-what I believe is a unique way of being hosted by a significant watchmaking company which made us feel being like "part of a family"
I want to pay a special tribute to our friends who flew from the US (isn't that real passion ?), I've been really glad to meet.
I've also been glad to meet and chat with some of the European attendees including the obvious "usual suspects" I already met before and some new others coming from UK, Italy, Germany among others countries. Sadly, I realized I've not been able to take time with everyone, the thrill of the event is certainly the main reason but also sounds to me as a very good reason to do it again !
My French friends join me to thank Paul, Ron and Abel for impeccable event organization thank you guys, everything was even better it should.
A special mention to Jack Heuer for its kindness being always prone to answer questions, tell stories, sign books and photos all of that with simplicity.
It's easy to feel he's always happy to be part of that kind of celebration sharing with collectors.
And at last huge thanks to the TH Teams who hosted and spoiled us, what a treat !
This photo is your honor :
As a side note, I've uploaded all the photos taken from the archive showing period ads from the Heuer produced roughly from the 30s to the 50s, maybe it'll be useful for the forum and some collectors.
The full album is accessible here : http://imageshack.us/g/1/10372050/
Best,
Laurent
PS : My apologies for posting all of this so late, life is life... and also I've faced a disk crash implying the loss of all my photos, the recovery process has been painful. Anyway, the report posted on the OTD blog is magnificent and IMO needed nothing more, thanks to the author(s).
