Bidding via Internet was provided but not significant, only one or two on-line bids were successful.

Given all the positive parameters (legend, history and stories, quality of the pieces, (dumb) money flowing into real values) I expected a great evening, but this auction was the tremendous start of a new wave -- or hype.
